Flame retardant added to the film to meet flammability standards for furniture, electrics, building products like insulation, it has additives that cause the shrink film extinguish itself within 4 seconds of the flame's source being removed.

Volatile Corrosion inhibitor shrink wrap protects both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and will not harm glass, plastic,
